Sleepy Head is Mark Billingham’s debut novel featuring Tom Thorne (the lead character is all of Mark Billingham’s books).
The book is about a particularly nasty psychopath who kills 3 women, the 4th woman Alison Willetts is left in a state called Locked-In Syndrome. Alison can see, hear and feel and is fully aware of everything going on around her, but is completely unable to move or communicate.
The police believe the killer’s made their first mistake until D.I. Tom Thorne discovers the horrifying truth; it isn’t Alison who was the mistake, it was the other 3 women.
For the killer is very smart and gets a kick out of playing with Tom Thorne while pursuing his sick sick fantasy.
Sleepy Head is one of Mark Billingham’s Best books and i would recomend that you read them in order.
