Mark Billingham was born and brought up in Birmingham and worked for as an actor, TV writer and stand-up comedian. Although most people now know him for his stuning crime novels.
Marks novel was Sleepyhead and was published in 2001, it was an instant bestseller in the UK and has since been sold widely throughout the world.
Since the publication of his first novel Mark has penned a total of 5 fantastic crime novels to date, with the latest installment titled “lifeless” and his 2003 Novel lazybones making the final shortlist for the first Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel Of The Year award.
